They met us at the station and showed us their home town. First stop was Ando\u2019s \u201cRamon Cup Noodle\u201d Museum. Ando was the inventor of instant noodles. The museum was dedicated to telling the story of the invention of 2 minute noodles. I&#8217;ll never look at a cup of instant noodles the same again. It was actually really interesting.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thehuntergatherers.id.au\/2013\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/IMG_5548.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-265\" alt=\"IMG_5548\" src=\"https:\/\/thehuntergatherers.id.au\/2013\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/IMG_5548.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"1200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehuntergatherers.id.au\/2013\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/IMG_5548.jpg 800w, https:\/\/thehuntergatherers.id.au\/2013\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/IMG_5548-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/thehuntergatherers.id.au\/2013\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/IMG_5548-682x1024.jpg 682w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We then strolled through the local shopping area before stopping in at a Rakugo (Osaka comedy) museum. Next was the Satsukiyama Zoo, a small zoo specialising in Australian animals. Ikeda is a sister city with Launceston, Tasmania!<\/p>\n<p>The highlight of the day was lunch at an Okonomiyaki Tepinyaki restaurant. This was a feast of salad, fried tofu, pork, seafood, soup, rice, noodles and just when we thought we couldn\u2019t eat anything more they brought out the main event \u2013 a pancake with seafood, pork, special sauce, barbequed at our table barbeque. Delicious. But so much food. I\u2019m currently sitting in a restaurant\/bar, sipping sangria on the 13<sup>th<\/sup> floor of the store.
